What I love about free markets is how failures are central to success stories. By trying a lot of things, we will see some fail and some succeed. Both of them are central to progress. Individual successes and failures contribute to a larger movement towards progress even if nobody notices that.
That's why I'm such a believer in making it easier to start and close businesses. Whenever you make it easier to fail, you make it easier to start. We must try a lot of ambitious things constantly, that's how we will learn and be closer to a global maximum.
By adopting free market policies, a society becomes an evolving and learning system that is able to adapt constantly and learn to become more sophisticated.
When learners are able to define what and how to learn we identify what works and what doesnt. If we have no autonomy on how we do things, we will never have the experiences that lead us to a better path.
